The 4^th development stage of Euro plaza was inaugurated in 2008. The architecture, which was inspired by crystals, is by the architectural studio Neumann & Partner, while the lighting concept for the façade illumination was conceived by podpod design.

The soft, coloured LED backlighting of the façade clearance highlights the façade structures at night, with lighting intensity continuously decreasing in the upward direction. The striking sharp angle pointing towards Wienerbergstrasse is transformed into the signature element of the building by means of LED spotlighting of this feature, fine-tuned with the façade illumination.

Façade illumination

The Euro Plaza building is discernible along the street alignment from afar without, however, disturbing traffic with excessive lighting density.

Along the base zone, linear floodlights are installed to endow the building with a solid “basis” during the night hours. Passers-by feel safe walking along this illuminated zone.

Crystal façade

Illuminated with coloured light, the ceiling underface of the arcaded zone is integrated into the overall outlook of the building.

Direct lighting along the columns and the rest of the base zone is white and creates an inviting area that follows the length of the building.

Arcades

By accenting the ceiling underface in the same colour as the façade backlighting, the arcade zone becomes part of the building volume as a whole. The colour-controllable illumination creates a variety of atmospheres and moods. Direct lighting is exclusively white.
