In September 2009 the Designer Outlet Center DOC has opened in Salzburg. podpod design was responsible for the interior and exterior light planning. The architecture which was planned by Kroh & Partner and is an homage to the shopping malls of the 19th century.

Light to be seen, light to be hidden

As in historical malls we used cast iron chandeliers and candelabras which had illuminated glass spheres as light source. In addition to it, we put projectors on the luminaries, which hardly can be seen. Apart from that the technical light is hidden in the ceiling.
